Imagenation
Hi All I was wondering if it would be possible to use the Simcloth technology, somehow to create soft body dynamics for EIAS? Thanks Ash
Ian
Hi Ash, Correct me if I'm wrong, but SimCloth IS soft body dynamics... What additional features are you looking for? Best, Ian
Imagenation
Hi Ian Sorry but I didn't specify what I meant. I mean for character animation, for example, create a face or an entire body and have the ability to sag areas such as the cheeks or belly, and even react to the animation of the character to allow for jiggle or sag over the skin. I have been having a bit of a play and it seems that this might be possible. Not sure about the weight maps yet but I will keep playing. Ian
Theoretically, I can't see why not, I'll have a play tonight and post my results. Ian
apu
One thing about simcloth that would be cool is the ability to manipulate wind forces. That would be so great, in adition to create realistic clothing, we then would have the ability to create artistic clothing.
Imagenation
I agree apu. The addition of global forces, including wind, maybe even fans would allow for some great effects. It doesn't seem to me to be that much of a stretch to create a full dynamics soft body system if you could add some of these controls, especially for character work it would be great. Thanks Ian for your reply, look forward to seeing some results. Ash I agree apu. The addition of global forces, including wind, maybe even fans would allow for some great effects. batoloco
the problem is the complexity of the object and the speed of the sim. Not practical for these mdd plug in + 3d app w softbodies(blender)
MickaelBehn
so really what we want is a kind of Rodeo / simcloth merged Socket.
