Hi. I upgraded from a PowerPC to a MacMini in about 3 weeks ago. Like most other people, an error message is popping up after clicking on the icon for the animator: The error message: "Animator cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Animator works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X." I followed as many suggestions from here as possible, but error message remains the same. What do I do? Thank you.

Hi All. I thought since approx. 30% of my sci-fi feature movie involves EIAS (To be listed in the end credits), I thought you might be interested in a glimpse of things. The 1st 3 images were rendered using EIAS v7, the others, v8. 1-2 - Office - bad guy. 3 - Habitat for an extraterrestrial in a military complex 4 - Spheres representing a light being leaving an elevator. 5 - An elevator shaft. Yes, I know, odd to see the numbers inside the shaft, but needed to suggest a reference to an Area 51 in Canada. :) Thank you for viewing.

WONDERFUL! Thank you for responding so quickly!! Snow Leopard seems compatible, as well, with Shake or so comments at the Apple Forum suggest. OK. Time to install it! So much to do, especially with Amorphium on the way. Thank you, again!! Incidentally, I want to upload jpgs of progress on my sci-fi feature using EIAS. How do I do that using this Mac? Michel

Hi. I will be upgrading to Snow Leopard from Tiger (10.4.11) in order to use Amorphium. Can someone let me know of any issues, if any, in using EIAS 7.0.1 through Snow Leopard? Thank you. Michel

Hi Tom. Please excuse my ignorance with the following statements: By capsule shape, I assume you mean reworking a cone or sphere primitive -- while in the modeling software-- into to a capsule shape before transferring to Amorphium? Bezier deformation is a new term for me. What does that mean? What are animated displacement maps? Thank you.

I would post jpgs of EI at work in my feature if I knew how to upload from the Mac. I uploaded several months ago by FTP through a laptop, but lost the capability to do that. Any suggestions?

Hi. I read about some of the brush effects and keyframes for animation within Amorphium, but could I make a tube extend about 2 feet and then shape the end into something like a cap to fit over a head? Can this effect be accomplished with this software? For other examples, something like the effects Cameron put into the Abyss and Terminator 2, Ie. the water worm moving from room to room in the Abyss, and the T1000 transforming arm turning into a sword/blade. Thank you. :huh:
