  3. Ola Burney! Happy new year!! with EIAS 9.1, its only possible exporting the geometry as .obj, but you will need to add textures again and materials, no animation. Thats why we want to finish v10 asap :) Last time I talked with Kish, he posted some of his modeling app screenshots, he is working on it. Hope that helps Thanks Tom

  9. Ola Burney! We are here non stop, we just started to update our new viewports to handle more data after our last feature implementation, we hope to finish this soon, after that, we will do more polishing and re-started the bug fixing cycle. We are anxious to finish the upgrade :) Thanks Tom

We are working non stop on v10 :) Your problem, appears a limitation of the Raytrace render, please, do me a favor, simplify your scene, only one Tree, the used light and only one Ubershape plane behind to show these "squares" artifacts in the render, collect the scene and send me. (tom@eias3d.com) - A trick with Trees using Raytrace GI render, please, download this sample project, in the Transparency tab / Raytrace sub-tab / you should use GI Cache as "Irradiance" to have a really faster render.   15. Ola Derryl, Any OS prior than Catalina works! if you have any problem after the OS update, msg me directly in the email. I dont know if you have Facebook, you can msg me there too, which is faster and I help you for sure. OS Catalina is full 64 bits, EIAS 9.1 will not work anymore there :( Thanks Tom

  21. Ola Paul! Since we use EIAS everyday in the projects, we did all possible changes in this release to make it modern for our workflow, Im pretty sure, our user base will benefit it a lot of it. Allowing next upgrades to be easier to release and faster. Thanks a lot for your kind words P :) Tom

  23. Hey Jeff! Interesting post! btw: As you know, I am an EIAS user too! so, since we do lots of TV ads and VFX. our goal is bring EIAS asap "into the 21st. Century" as you wrote hehe.. I hope we will please, lots of request from our user base! Including you of course :) Yes, we are a small team with a lot of passion to EIAS, trying to be clear about what took so long on this upgrade, some important changes we did, generated a "cascade" effect, pushing us to re-write from scratch more and more the old code. And recent external changes from Apple added more delay on our side, Apple killed 32 bits apps, Apple killed Quicktime on Windows and a lot more.. so, we had a balance between big code changes, new features to make us and the user base happy, lots of optimizations to show we are faster and easier than the other apps for sure :) Our goal after v10: make smaller upgrades to be always in contact with our user base, hearing all demands and make always EIAS fresh!
