  4. That is something that SolidWorks and FormZ have. EI's project window is very similar in that each item can be viewed and nested into groups. EI's project window can be viewed many different ways by clicking the small button at the top row of buttons. Each item can be named and renamed. There is also the command F (mac) for finding a certain part. There is not a way to have a price and price total unless someone writes a script for that. Steven Houtzager
  5. When Camera is rendering an animation, it will show the rendering for a short instant when the frame is done and then goes to black. I would like to see the rendering for the entire time camera is working on the next frame. Helps to catch problems. S.Houtzager

  7. Just wondering if there is a best way to stop Renderama in the middle of doing an animation? Not pause, a cold stop. When I go and quit the cameras one by one, I have to reload them into renderama all over again for it to work. The Stop button on renderama does not do anything most of the time. S. Houtzager

  9. I have before without any success. I would like to know how Photons interact with the current GI system, theoretically. The online videos show application well. Would photons work with just one bounce of GI? What is sizzling on the animation is some thin black lines. The shadow line between the keyboard and table, the mouse and table. Maybe something simple will get rid of these. SH
  10. Hmmmm. I did a test of the last 2 seconds with the oversampling AA set higher. There still was the same sizzle as the current one and it took 3 times longer to render. Wondering if anyone else knows how get rid of the sizzle at the end. S. Houtzager
  11. Hey Tomas, No photons in this puppy. I thought photons were only useful for second and third bounces of GI and I am only using one bounce. S. Houtzager
  12. Always wanted to do a flythru using GI on a white model. It wasn't too difficult to set up but there is a bit of sizzle on some lines. I am bumping up the sampling on another test to see if I can get rid of it. It uses GI with one bounce and 5 point lights. http://intuitionusa.com/2_whitemodel.html SH
  13. Hey where do you put the new Depth of Field shader in order to get it to work. Did not see in the manual. SH
  14. While we are on the topic, I could get the cloth to be deformed by the arm and it looks cool. However, the cloth intersects itself as it wraps around the arm. Had to turn on the self-collisons and wallah. SH
  15. I was having some fun with the new modeling pluggin with V8. The animation was kinda fun with the distortion from the glass. S. Houtzager
  16. Does anyone know how this animation was done. http://www.eitechnologygroup.com/gallery/image_full/1225/ I wonder if 3 or 4 were animated and then those were copied and scaled differently. Then each was hand moved to the shape of the shoe. The hearts intersect with each other. SH
  17. Nice renderings. By the way, were the bushes and trees added after the 3d rendering was done or were they mapped onto planes. It is hard to tell how they were done! :) S. Houtzager
  18. Those really rock. The whole hanger scene is very complete. I especially like the blue glass on the ships along with the reflections on the ships. Is there some blur in the metallic reflections that I see? S.H.
