  1. And the software as well! Thanks for the links. This is amazing.
  2. Nice find. I wonder how this was choreographed? The compositions were able to focus on specific features at key times during the movement.
  3. That is an amazing sculpt. Might have to get this app into the pipeline, along with some retopologizing. Thanks.
  4. Nice to see EI Character Animation. Hatsune Miku seems like a very popular character.
  5. Nice. Sort of a 3D minimalist - motion graphics thing. The compositions and movement held your attention, which is what the client wanted, I'm sure. I liked the tank driving up and down the 3D text. Good work.
  6. I would also set up some 'Selection Sets' so that you can quickly and efficiently turn various groups on and off.
  7. Are you sure it's 'T'? Just asking because I haven't tried it. I thought 'T' was "Translate", 'R' was "Rotate", and 'S' was "Scale." Still, I'm with you, we need to see the gizmos in the Texture window, and updated documentation would be just terrific.
  8. Nice. You could always put a sphere around your ship, then scale it to more of an egg shape to match the hull, then apply a procedural shader for 'energy blast' effects. Later you could mask it to just the area where you want the effect. Good one.
  9. Hello Ian, regarding the EIAS infrastructure, can you release any information, perhaps a road map, of anticipated growth and improvements? I already know the Igors have said 'no' to the idea of an integrated modeler. At this point I don't know if I'm willing to continue forward with EIAS and am in need of some reassurances. Thanks.

Nice lighting and materials. Beautiful shot.
  11. Only if you're working on a really, really long project. Say, more than a couple of minutes. The amount of 'slip' between your rendered video and the audio will be minimal for shorter clips. If you want to be very particular, then yes, go for the 23.976 number, as it certainly won't hurt anything.
  12. Hello Igors, and thank you for posting this response to the question of an integrated modeler within EIAS. I have been waiting for nearly a year to figure out what direction EIAS would take under its new management. I now have that answer. Thanks again.
  13. Agreed. Build up to an integrated modeling solution. First tools could be very basic, fixing flipped normals, welding verts, setting shading angles (which currently have to be established upon import).
  14. Collada may be a more viable format moving forward. FBX makes sense for somethings. Perhaps we could have both?
  15. That is some outstanding work. Subtle with the camera movement and strong with the reflective materials. Well done.
