  1. Thanks for the update, Tomas. I'm ready to upgrade to v10 as soon as it's ready!
  2. Suddenly I find myself on an M1 mini, with no way to run EI on it.
  3. Try /Library/QuickTime rather than /System/Library/QuickTime
  4. At first this didn't work for me either, but once I did two things — restarted the Finder, and changed my .img file name extensions to .image, it worked. Yay! Thanks, Diego!
  5. Thanks for the reply. I wonder how hard it would be to write such a plug-in. Way over my own knowledge level, I fear. I've got the Telegraphics plug-in, and it is excellent.
  6. Is there a Quick Look plug-in for OS X which will let me view EI format .img files by tapping the space bar in the Finder and Open/Save dialogs?
  7. Okay, so the Occlusion shader is no more, but there is this tantalizing tidbit in the User Guide: Exclude Set A set of groups that will not be affected by GI lighting. If a group is in GI Exclude Set it simply means: this group does not receive GI illumination and nothing more. The group still generates “sky shadows†(occlusions) and it still generates a portion of Reverse Illumination. However, I can't seem to make this work. If I set up an exclude set I get no occlusion and no GI other than the subtle reverse illumination. Since there's no longer an occlusion shader, is it still possible to add occlusion to a scene without resorting to a separate manual occlusion pass and a multiplied camera projection?
  8. Okay, so I understand that Camera on a local machine can use all available CPUs/cores without having to spawn multiple Camera apps, but how does this work for networked machines? Will Camera slaves also use multiple threads, or is it still necessary to create individual slave Cameras for each CPU/core?
