  1. This was done in EIAS. I used mdd after I animated the stork in Maya. Kudos to Hal Meyers for the rendering, art direction and project management.
  2. Here's the last video of the New SkinMan Rig. This shows how Weight Maps in EIAS Animator v8 works perfectly as expected and how to specifically paint vertexes with precision into the desired shape. This allows you to design the creasing, elasticity and bending even with geometry that is less than perfect for animation. Also the price for the BACK to School Sale is not $150 (not 125) for both the SkinRig and Deformer Rig.
  3. BACK TO SCHOOL SALE!!! ;-) ReadyRigs are now 2 DVDs for $125 til Sept 15th. That's the Deformer Rig and the SkinMan as a package deal Paypal to athreet@adelphia.net btw, here's the last thing I have been working. I'm doing it in Maya now but EIAS will be next if I can figure out a way to transfer DMM. This is just a proxy test. Not a full render.
  4. This is my second message like this from this person. I thought I would post one here. He bought both DVD's for $150. "A.c. Farley Nice effect Alonzo. Hey, I just spent 3 days with your character rigging DVD. That would have taken me 10 years to figure out alone. Very, very nice. You did an excellent job on that DVD set of tutorials. Thanks very much. Characters and robots coming up." Here's the effect I was working on ;-)
  5. Hi All, The first DVD utilizing EI Deformer to create a full character rig is still practical and available. This DVD is a fundamental and goes over many details about model topology, scaling and Units, so therefore it's longer in length. It took me years to learn this but it won't take you a month. Get a coffee, iPad and enjoy.
  6. Hi EIAS Users. Is anyone having a problem with any of the video playing? Feel free to add any comments or critiques here. Thanks.
  7. I did a morph test a year ago in MDD, I forgot. Then I did a quick test out of Maya. It worked. The problem is with a merge on a previously skinned is not resolving because I can't delete history. It's a Maya/PointOven problem not EIAS problem... thanks.
  8. Is it necessary to output the morph models from Maya ? It would seem I only need to bake or cache the main model? I'm outputting MDD files from Maya to EIAS and I have a 3 morphs for the shape of the eye blinks. Do I need to output the targets as well and group them in the MDD Plugin inorder for the effect to carry over into EIAS? The blink looks curved in Maya but in EIAS crosses through the eye in a linear interpolation.
  9. Same here. I'm still using MotionBuilder 7 on Mac but Also MB on Window7 64bit. Still, There's so much I can get out of MotionBuilder 7 on Mac. I never delved fully in MB like I wanted to but I am hoping to do so this year. I use it with Endorphine which I also purchased last year. Once I get my own studio space I think I will do a lot more mocap. I didn't know Autodesk has no plans to ever support MB on OSX but I guess it's obvious now.
  10. BTW, The first time I saw full motion SD video playback on a computer was video Richard Lainhart at NovaWorks. He digitize a segment of T2 from a BetaDeck. He would love this thread.
  11. The name of the Red Scarlet is "Job's Joy" It's a simple rig mainly for studio work. I finalized the main camera rig when I got the Side Handle, but it will be mounted on other motion rigs like rails, steadi-cam and cranes. Side Handle RedMote The Fleet
  12. I'll be honest, those technologies are so "cuttiing edge" and really still in development I don't thing it's practicle for EIAS. Also, those apps cost "5K" and up. EIAS is a fraction of the cost. I recently used EIAS on a FBX project, and Also, MDD. Those type are upgrades are very practical and efficient to me. ...and free.
  13. Is the Cudo technology or GPU, Tesla and Quadro available on the Mac with Maya? I already have an ATI Radeon HD 5870 and a Red Rocket Card in my 12 core. I know I am going to need Cudo card if I want to use Davinci for my RED camera. What options are available for harnessing this RT Fluid technology on the Mac. Also, does it work with ALL fluid effects like smoke and fire or only water? Thanks. Any insight would be helpful.
  14. The second one "down the road" is perfect. I thought the first one had a little too much distortion but the second one even feels like heat.
  15. I haven't done one but it's definitely some type of 2D blurred displacement with turbulence.
  16. BTW, The WIP project files wouldn't fit on the disk. I thought about it and I decided they weren't as important as having the most videos at the highest resolution. If you still want them, I can upload them. I'm a data hog so it came to about 700mb in files when the actual project was only 7mb. Let me know if you think they are any value. AVT
  17. Good News!!! All the DVD's went out today! Foriegn shipment may take more time for delivery but domestic should be a week. Thank you all. Remember to email me if you have any questions or need tech support (relatively an hour) AVT
  18. Ta-Da!! Labels. I tried to mail them out but when I got to kinko's I had to format them in PSD on their template. So Tomorrow for sure.
  19. OMG!! See, people think I am parnoid. Now I am really paranoid with EyeBorgs. Yes, Definitely reminds me of this. OH well...I learn more about business everytime. ;-) Here's the other I did.
  20. That's a good option. I have Dropbox, but haven't used it much since I have .Mac. I have made the DeformerRig DVD available once on .Mac once so maybe if the future. Let me know if that's your preference.
  21. Hey Steven, DVD's go out tomorrow. I may do CafePress but that will probably raise the price, so I am going to mail them personally at first. Downloads would be great but I don't have a site for that yet.
  22. Ta-Da!! Finally!! Introducing the newest member of the ReadyRigs Family!! SKIN MAN!!! This is the cover art. The DVD is done. All the video files are compressed H.264 @720p. Quicktime format on DVD. Hybrid. Mac and PC. I do apologize for the delay. I got a rig/animation job from a new client as soon as I announced the DVD. (Thanks Tomas) I start printing and shipping ASAP. Paypal Only. Unless you have a special case. Then contact me. Thanks for your support. Happy Animation Rigging Alonzo Von Threet
  23. Still tweaking. I'm still double checking everything and I'm going to try to have actually CD cover art with this one. So the release data won't be today as I had hoped but very shortly ;-) I also add one more minor video tutorial for morphs.
