  1. Hiya, Not 100% sure, maybe a file path error: Cannot examine file. System error and file path given. Error codes: http://www.eias3d.com/frequent-questions/ Thanks Nige.
  2. The conception 3 pack was amazing. It's such a shame they can't be made available. nige.
  3. Hiya, Yes, I do sometimes use the layer system in EIAS, but not in this instance - not sure why ;) Thanks, Nige.
  4. Hiya, I hope you don't mind me spamming the Artworks section with this image. I did a bit of a re-jig and much prefer it now. Thanks, Nige.
  5. Hiya all, A fun project for modelling and texturing practice. Modelled in Silo 2021 (except the bike, 3rd party). Click for larger view. Thanks, Nige.
  6. Hiya all, I don't think I've posted this here, but I've just updated the lighting and though I'd post. Modelled on a photo I found i the interwebs... Thanks Nige.
  7. Hiya, I wanted to see what was possible with just a couple of hours work. I knocked up a quick room in Silo 3D and recycled stuff from other projects. Click for larger view :) Thanks, Nige.
  8. Hi everyone, I posted this a while back on the eias facebook page, but I have updated it since then as I didn't like the sofa. Rendered in about 3 mins. Click image for larger view. Thanks, Nige.
  9. Hi Akai, I like this one, nice mood! Nige.
  10. Hiya Akai, Welcome to the forums!, Lovely image :) Like Tom says, Photons, Gi and Ri are the way to go :) Nige.
  11. Hiya, This was created from a photograph of a derelict shop I found online. A quarantine project :) (Click to see the full res version - the compression is terrible) Nige.
  12. Hiya, If this is the Add 3D Text from within Animator, the two settings you need to lower are Max Angle and Max length when you first create the text. Cheers, Nige.
  13. Hiya, I brought a set of Evermotion Blender scenes to test out Cycles (Sloooooow), I thought I'd try them in EIAS. There are a couple of UV issues but I thought it looked quite nice. You'll be pleased to know my next project is 100% me :) Thanks, Nige.
  14. Hiya all, As it's a bit quite around here I'd though I'd post a scene I started to mess around with a while ago and never got around to finish. I was having trouble getting a contact shadow under the stuff on the table. Thanks, Nige.
  15. Hiya Richard, That's really nice. I think I'm going to take this project into Unity but I will experiment later in EI just to compare the results. Thanks, Nige.
  16. Hiya Kim, Diego and Nori, Thanks for the input gentlemen. Nori, that video is just what I need to generate! I will play with the six camera rig placed in a simple cube and see what results I get :) I'm assuming that in EI it's a matter of rendering a 360 for each camera? We have After Effects at the college so that shouldn't be a problem. We also have an Oculus Rift headset in our Games Design department, though I'm not sure what format it requires. I also need to add hotspots within the VR that can be accessed by the hand controller. These will bring up a simple still graphic with text. Does this require specialist software? Finally, I need to render three simple rooms and have a method of accessing/moving between each one. Thanks again for the advice, Nige. Edit: just found this in an older post: 1. Output from EI's rendering format to Environment 2. Batch Converting from EI Viewer to Vertical Cross 3. Use Adobe AE's SKYBOX Plugin. Vertical cross to 2: 1 Equirectangular So I just render out six stills to those specs? Is there a render aspect ratio that I need to maintain - 2:1 (4k 2:1 = 4096 x 2048)? Thanks
  17. Hiya EI gang, I may have the opportunity to do a VR project but I have no experience of this type of thing! It will involve modeling an environment and creating a 360 view with this ending up in a VR headset. Has anyone tried this sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated :) Nige.
  18. Great stuff Tomas, really love the making of, very insightful :) Nige.
  19. Thanks Tomas! Happy New Year to the EIAS team, here's to a great 2017 ^_^ Nige.
  20. Hiya, Here are the material files. The porcelain file needs a bitmap in the diffuse - just a small square of white saved as an img file. Thanks, Nige. Materials.zip
  21. Hi, I'm out of the UK at the moment but will do when I get back :) Ta Nige.
