hillsville
Since moving away from EI Modeler to FormZ, I'm finding it pretty much impossible to animate an object via a defined path.Is anyone having similar issues.
S. Houtzager
I have had good luck doing that with Path Finder and Swage. Could not get contortionist to work for me. I use FormZ and Rhino for my models.
hillsville
...thank you for sharing.Would you tell me the steps in creating a "path" with Path Finder.Once you create the path, do you use contortionist to bring the path and object together?Thank you, again.... Tomas Egger
Ola Gabe!I gave you the wiremaker plug-in, which is really simple to use.. Please try it.thankstom
davidwu67
Used contortionist with v9 quite a bit. I usually use effectors to create my path, so you can change it anytime within EI. Works okay for me.
hillsville
...forgive my "denseness" when it come to using effectors to create a path -- how is that accomplished?
davidwu67
See the screenshot.Basically add an effector, give it a unique name, turn on its animation channel. Move its position at different points in time. And you will have a path.In Contortionist, set Path Type to Use Effector, and enter the name of that path.
